Policies

Data ownership, acceptable use, privacy, and enforcement for trackon.live services and content.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

1. Overview

These policies apply to the trackon.live website, live race viewers, playback archives, APIs, embeddable visualizations, GPS tracking services, coaching tools, and any related content or data made available under the trackon.live brand (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these policies. If you do not agree, do not use the Services or copy any trackon.live data or materials.

2. Data ownership & intellectual property

All data, content, and materials made available through trackon.live are the property of trackon.live, unless expressly stated otherwise in a written agreement with an event organizer, federation, broadcaster, or other partner.

This includes, without limitation:

  • GPS positions, tracks, telemetry, timing-related derived data, and performance metrics
  • Live maps, leaderboards, checkpoints, race visualizations, and replay / archive packages
  • API responses, feeds, embeds, screenshots, exports, and downloaded files
  • Event listings, athlete display data as presented by the Services, and operational dashboards
  • Software, UI, branding, logos, documentation, and marketing materials

trackon.live retains all rights, title, and interest in the Services and in the aggregated, processed, and presented form of race and tracking data delivered by the platform. Nothing in public display of a live race or archive constitutes a transfer of ownership or a grant of republication rights.

3. Prohibited use

Without prior written permission from trackon.live, you may not:

  • Copy, scrape, harvest, mirror, or systematically download data from the Services
  • Republish, redistribute, rebroadcast, or publicly re-display trackon.live data or visualizations
  • Use trackon.live data for commercial products, media productions, betting, analytics products, or training datasets
  • Create derivative works, competing services, or archived datasets based on trackon.live outputs
  • Remove, obscure, or alter proprietary notices, watermarks, attribution, or branding
  • Circumvent access controls, rate limits, authentication, or technical protection measures
  • Share API keys, operator credentials, or non-public endpoints with unauthorized parties

Personal, non-commercial viewing of publicly available live maps and results on trackon.live is allowed. Any further use requires an explicit license.

4. Licensed partners & organizers

Event organizers, federations, broadcasters, and other partners may receive limited rights to use specific data feeds or embeds only under a separate written agreement with trackon.live. Those rights are non-exclusive (unless stated otherwise), non-transferable, and limited to the event, territory, medium, and duration described in that agreement.

Licensed use does not authorize sublicensing, open publication of raw feeds, or reuse of historical archives beyond the agreed scope. Upon expiry or termination of a license, all further use of trackon.live data must stop, and copies must be deleted where required by the agreement.

5. Enforcement & legal action

Unauthorized use, republication, or exploitation of trackon.live data or materials is a violation of these policies and may infringe intellectual property and related rights.

trackon.live may, without limitation:

  • Demand immediate cessation and removal of infringing copies or publications
  • Suspend or terminate access to the Services, APIs, or accounts
  • Preserve logs and technical evidence of unauthorized access or scraping
  • Pursue civil claims for injunctions, damages, and recovery of costs
  • Refer matters to competent authorities where criminal or regulatory rules may apply

Failure to enforce a provision in a particular case does not waive trackon.live’s right to enforce these policies later. These policies are governed by the laws applicable to trackon.live’s operations and the location of the relevant dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where they apply.

6. Privacy

trackon.live processes personal data needed to operate the Services: contact inquiries, account or operator access where provided, and public-facing race presentation data supplied by organizers (for example athlete names, bib numbers, team affiliations, and GPS-derived race positions during events).

6.1 What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email address, and message content you submit
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs needed for security and reliability
  • Analytics: aggregated site usage via Google Analytics (see Cookies)
  • Event operations: race and athlete information provided by organizers for live tracking and archives

6.2 Why we process data

  • To respond to inquiries and provide quotes or support
  • To deliver live tracking, visualization, timing integration, and archives for contracted events
  • To secure the Services, prevent abuse, and improve performance
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce these policies

6.3 Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with infrastructure and service providers strictly necessary to run the Services (for example hosting, form delivery, analytics, or communications), and with event partners when required to deliver a contracted race production. Recipients may process data only for those purposes.

6.4 Retention

Contact messages are retained as long as needed to handle the inquiry and related follow-up. Event and tracking data are retained according to organizer agreements and operational needs for live delivery, support, replay, and archives. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics.

6.5 Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including GDPR where it applies), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Athletes and participants should primarily contact their event organizer regarding start lists and public race presentation; trackon.live processes that information as part of delivering the contracted tracking service.

7. Cookies & analytics

The marketing site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID configured on trackon.live) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the website. Analytics may set cookies or similar identifiers. Contact forms may use reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse, which can involve Google processing technical data under Google’s terms and privacy policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may limit some site features. Live race apps may use local storage or session mechanisms required for viewer functionality; these are used to operate the product, not to sell advertising profiles.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect systems and data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe you have found a vulnerability or unauthorized disclosure involving trackon.live, please notify us promptly at the contact address below.

9. Changes to these policies

trackon.live may update these policies from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when revisions are published. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policies, except where mandatory law requires additional consent.

10. Contact

For permission requests, privacy inquiries, takedown notices, or legal correspondence regarding trackon.live data and Services:

License or reuse requests must be made in writing before any republication or commercial use. Until written permission is granted, all such use remains prohibited.
